3R went virtual this year! Though it was the first time we held 3R online, it was still a professionally rewarding one for the staff. We started off with presentations from selected OCA nominees which was done in a fun and engaging manner. We continued with our usual Reflect, Rethink and Reinvent with groups of teachers from various departments examining the effectiveness of the college’s various programmes to evaluate if they continue to ensure we are a learning community where engaged practitioners inspire passionate inquirers through effective, relevant and value-centric teaching and learning. Focus was on enhancing current practices as well as to explore new possibilities to complement current success and break new grounds. We also had passionate teachers to share their insights on Assessment for Learning with the staff. We definitely did not miss out our usual award ceremony to recognise and award the contributions of both teaching and non-teaching staff and to congratulate staff who have made exceptional contributions to the teaching fraternity and are winners and winning teams of various awards, including the MOE Service Excellence Award. And despite the challenges imposed by safe distancing measures, we still make sure our teachers get to participate in a whole staff bonding session where we travelled to Kyoto, albeit virtually.
