LEP Club

Inaugurated as a CCA in 2002, the LEP Club plays a pivotal role in organizing activities for Chinese Language Elective Programme (CLEP) and other Chinese-related cultural activities in NYJC. The club conducts a wide variety of exclusive events for CLEP/H2CLL students. These events include hosting the JC1 Orientation and JC2 Farewell Ceremonies for the CLEP students and annual gathering for the programme’s alumni. The LEP Club also co-hosts the annual inter-cultural sharing session with the Malay Language and Cultural Society (MLCS) and the Indian Cultural Society (ICS) , playing our part in promoting a better understanding and appreciation of the different ethnic cultures in Singapore.

Through organizing such events, the club helps to train its members in leadership, teamwork and organization skills. The members also get to explore new horizons in their intellectual and cultural knowledge not only through the weekly cultural sharing sessions, but also through activities such as tea cultural appreciation session and Chinese traditional paper-cutting workshop.

The club meets every Wednesday, 3pm to 5pm, at classroom 05-61.
