Nanyang Musicians Club

Do you have a passion for contemporary music, and love jamming with your peers? If so, NYMC is just the place for you to showcase your talents!

The Nanyang Musicians Club, known affectionately as NYMC, was created in 2012 and is sustained by avid music lovers in the college. Members get together to form performing bands, enabling them to gain greater insights into the inner workings of a live band. NYMC strongly believes in the importance of teamwork, commitment and passion in the process of performing.

Performances by NYMC are always well-received by the audience! NYMC has been performing for school-related events such as Teacher's Day, National Day and the annual Open House, since 2012.

Apart from school performances, NYMC has also taken part in many ad-hoc performances outside of school. NYMC took the stage during the Lunchtime Charity concert back in 2012, managing to raise funds for the school. More recently, they have performed in Concert-Uncaged in 2017, raising funds for the Children Cancer Foundation. Additionally, they also took the stage at Braddell Heights Zone E RC in 2017 in collaboration with NYJC Interact Club for their service-learning project "Tighten the Knots". In these performances, the members learnt how to respond to all kinds of hiccups that may occur in live performances.
